Dear SDADA Members,
It is my honor to serve as president of the South Dakota Auto Dealers Association (SDADA) and to represent such a diverse and dynamic group of professionals — franchised auto dealers, independent dealers, powersports retailers and RV dealers. Each of you plays a vital role in keeping South Dakota’s communities moving and contributes to the economic vitality of our state.
This past year has been one of both opportunity and challenge. The retail motor vehicle industry — whether selling cars, trucks, motorcycles, ATVs or RVs — continues to adapt to shifting market demands, evolving consumer expectations and new technology. Our association remains focused on protecting the dealer business model, advocating for fair and practical legislation and supporting the operational success of every member.
The strength of SDADA lies in the collective voice of its members. Through active engagement, open communication and collaboration, we are able to share ideas, address challenges and find solutions that benefit all segments of our industry. Whether you’ve been a member for decades or just joined, your participation makes a difference.
In the year ahead, we will continue to focus on:
- Workforce Development: Addressing driver and technician shortages through recruitment, training and outreach.
- Member Engagement: Providing opportunities for networking, education and collaboration that strengthen our industry as a whole across all sectors — automotive, powersports, RV and independent retail — so we can learn from one another and grow together.
- Advocacy: Ensuring that the voices of South Dakota’s automotive, powersports, RV and independent retail companies are heard at both the state and national level.
I encourage each of you to take part in SDADA’s meetings, events and training opportunities. They’re not only a chance to learn and network, but also to strengthen the unified voice that ensures our industry’s future success.
Thank you for your trust, your membership and your commitment. I look forward to what we will accomplish together in the coming year.
Onward!
Christine Vinatieri-Erickson
President, SDADA
